If you have designs on become a Professional Football or Sports Trader then having the right set up is paramount to being successful

I have read too many stories of hundreds and thousands being lost when the markets are suspended, go down, or there is a power cut

So what do you do when Betfair lose connection as they did last week and you have £500 plus on the under 2.5 in a German league game?

What do you do when you decide to trade a Norwegian game with low liquidity that Betfair have stated is in play but they SUSPEND at kick off stating they have lost the feed?

What happens when your own internet connection is lost at home?

Well all of these questions are very important and need to be addressed

Making consistent profits on Betfair is hard enough so why burden yourself after a good week from a potential big loss when you could have a back up in place in case the above occurs?

As you can see below covering every angle aside a Nuclear Attack gives me the confidence and takes out the stresses and strains of the possible dangers mentioned

SO WHAT IS ON THE DESK?

Packard Bell Desktop with the latest Bet Angel Pro

Main port of call for trading in the afternoons for racing, football, cricket. Tend to use this one for graphs when scalping in conjunction with the laptop ladder interface

Dell Inspiron Laptop with both Betdaq and Betfair loaded via Bet Angel Pro

When not in the office below I use this for football when watching it in the living room

Asus eee pc1000HE and Ipad

Tend to use one or the other for travelling and always leave on as a back up with a connection via HTC Desire HD (with own internet connection)

Both have excellent battery lives and light to take abroad

HTC Desire HD (not in picture as it doubles as a camera)

Mobile phone with instant access to Betfair. Battery not great but with in car charger, and laptop charger you're covered. The large interface is very useful for a quick trade in the pub!

Siemans Phone

Landline phone in case where all else fails a good old phone call is necessary

Canoni250

This is mainly used for printing off stats, records, money management

SUMMARY

Betfair goes down I have a fully funded Betdaq account

Home internet goes down I use the HTC Desire HD which has it's own modem and net connection

Bet Angel goes down I use Betfair via one or other

Last resort is the phone to cancel trades or put on new trades

If you're going to trade seriously with big stakes these or similar measures have to be in place

The Nugget Crew.
